"The home was amazing for its history and the beautifully renovated rooms- as described. Beds were wonderful. including the linen. The bath is a feature, with a view out the french doors. We cooked in the enormous kitchen and ate on the beautiful alfesco dining table. The property is huge and has a spectacular view out every window, with wildlife all around the historic gardens. Although still being restored it was interesting to see sloping garden, heritage trees and shrubs and its very significant location on the Tamar estuary/ tidal river. For those who love luxury, history, peace and quiet this is a brilliant place to stay. The other excellent feature is proximity to wineries. Rowella is lovely. Sharon was very helpful and attentive. It felt like your own home."
